Stevens pays the first loan payment.  Many other carriers wait for 30 days after the driver is assigned a truck to begin tuition reimbursement.  That 30-day waiting period can result in the graduate making the 1^st and 2^nd loan payments out of their own pocket.

Another major plus is that Stevens pays off the driver’s loan in 2 years.  Loans are frequently paid off over 5 years, during which interest owed on the loan can build up.  These are real figures and real savings for students to keep in mind when selecting a carrier.
